How to Make Stable Flash Powder

Here I shall show you how to make stable flash powder for all your uses in firework. It's not real flash powder, but the result is pretty good and not so sensitive like real flash powder. In my country, fireworks with flash powder inside of them are illegal, so I decided to make my own.

Step 1: Gathering the Materials

To make it you will need:

  1. Aluminum powder
  2. Potassium nitrate
  3. Sulfur

You can find aluminum powder in paint stores or you can make it. Some stump removers are 100% potassium nitrate, but I bought mine online.

Step 2: Weighing Everything

The ratio for the flash powder is 5/3/2 in weight. The aluminum powder is lighter than the rest, so it will all seem like the same amount.

Step 3: Mixing

Just throw everything together and start mixing in a pestle and mortar.

NEVER USE A BALL MILL FOR THE MIXING—IT CAN IGNITE THE FP.

After all the mixing, you should have a gray substance with no clumps.

Step 4: Have Fun

Just do whatever you like. Just one thing—I'm not responsible for anything you do. I made this flash powder bomb.
